Please give them the following instructions:
Go to http://www.indiana.edu/~best/, click in the left column under QuizSite Students, log in using your IU User ID and password, click on the OK button to continue, and choose your instructor's class and do the evaluation. You can scroll up and down and make changes as often as you wish. You must click "Proceed" at the end of the evaluation to submit your response. If you don't do that it won't go. And after you do that, you can't go back to make further changes. It will confirm that the evaluation was successfully completed. You can get "Help with QuizSite" by clicking on that phrase at the bottom of the page where the classes are listed.

(2) E-portfolio is due next Monday, Dec 15th 11:59 p.m.

(3) If you would like to turn in an extra credit assignment - video case analysis, please email me by Dec 15th 11:59 pm as well.

(4) If you would like to turn in your revised multimedia project, please upload to the oncourse resources folder (in the multimedia group folder) and send me an email by Dec 15th 11:59 p.m.

(4) The due date, Dec 15th, also applies to other papers that you would like to turn in. For Extra credit assignment, revised multimedia project, and other papers, please make sure you receive my confirmation email within 24 hours. Feel free to email me if you have any questions!

Please find the "what to include in your e-portfolio" document and "how to" videos in the Oncourse Resources folder.

Steps
(a) create individual pages
(b) build the navigation side bar (easy to navigate)
(c) upload the URL to you Oncourse Dropbox
(d) work on the content (web design is consistent among pages; easy to browse and read; professional and appropriate content)

week 11 agenda: multimedia project presentations

Before class:
Upload your project to Oncourse W301 Resources --> Multimedia --> Group Folder
If you produced a video or podcast, please export the file by selecting "publish (windows movie maker)", "share (mac iMovie or GarageBand)", or "export (Audacity)." It usually takes about 3 - 10 minutes to convert your files into a movie or audio clip. Please upload your audio or video to your group folder on Oncourse W301 Resources.

If your project is a blog, wiki, or a discussion forum, you can upload the URL of your site to Oncourse W301 Resouces.

week 10 agenda: Group work (no official class meeting)

No official class meeting this week Week of Nov 3. Please meet with your group members and finalize the project.

The final project is due Week 11. Week of Nov 10th. The final product should be around 3-5 minutes. You will make a presentation in class -- introduce your target audience, the choice of the content, the purpose of the video/ podcast/ blog/ wiki/ others, show your final product, and answer questions.

After you finish the project, please upload the final product to the group folder on Oncourse W301 Resources. You may want to test downloading files and playing in another computer before the presentation. If your product is a blog or a wiki, you can upload the URL to the group folder. The grading criteria is on the Eva instruction page (link here - Tue section; Wed/ thur sections)

The tutorial websites and job aids can be found on the Eva instruction page as well. Please let me know if you have questions or need help. I will be out of town from Nov 5 to Nov 8 but I will check my email and we can schedule short meetings for any last minute help after I come back from the conference.

Week 9 agenda - Lab: software/ tutorial sites for multimedia production

Before class:
Please bring in materials created or gathered by your group, such as images, photos, video clips, sounds, and so on.
Upload your technology inventory report to Oncourse W301 Dropbox.

In class:
1. House keeping - grades & extra credits opportunity (talk to Chun-Yi)

2. Review group plans for the Multimedia Production Project
Review schedule, online tutorials, and resources
(on Eva Multimedia Production Instruction page link to Tue; link to Wed/Thur)
Grading criteria (available on Eva Multimedia project instruction page as well)

3. Show simple editing features and the publishing feature
Group work: Use the tutorial websites and the software in class!! Ask questions, and Work on the project in class. This week and next week will be the time when you create your final product on software or web server you chose (MovieMaker, iMovie, GarageBand, Blogger, Wordpress, Wikispaces, PBWiki, and so on.)
Some laptops have built in microphones; if you need a microphone, let me know.

3. Questions? Each group meets with your instructor before the end of this class.

or Email me. Next week I will be in Florida in a conference.
